Product Overview

OPSWAT MetaDefender ICAP Server provides advanced threat protection for network traffic. Through seamless integration with any ICAP-enabled network security appliance, MetaDefender ICAP Server scans and inspects all incoming file content before it reaches your organization’s network. By leveraging OPSWAT’s industry-leading technologies: Deep CDR (Content Disarm and Reconstruction), Multiscanning, and Proactive DLP (Data Loss Prevention), MetaDefender ICAP Server protects organizations from malicious file uploads, zero-day attacks, and sensitive data exposure.

Release Highlights

MetaDefender ICAP Server 4.13.0 offers deployment of the application in containerized environments with Docker, Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, and other minor enhancements and bug fixes.

Deploy MetaDefender ICAP Server using Docker

Starting from version 4.13.0, customers can now deploy MetaDefender ICAP Server with Docker container. This feature enables automated and secure deployment in containerized microservice environments with reduced maintenance and resource requirements.

There are two ways to deploy the application with Docker:

  • Docker Image: Pull a MetaDefender ICAP Server image hosted on OPSWAT Docker Hub repository. These images include the latest official release builds.
  • Docker BuildKit: OPSWAT provides a build toolkit that contains a Docker file and licensed auto-deactivation scripts. Customers can use this kit as a supported component for the Docker image deployment.

Support for Docker deployment is currently available in CentOS, RedHat, Debian, and Ubuntu. Learn more

Single Sign-On authentication

To enhance security, MetaDefender ICAP Server now provides the option to authenticate with SSO, in addition to other current multi-factor authentication methods. The SSO authentication can be integrated with most Identity Providers (IdP) via SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect 1.0. Learn more
