OPSWAT Partners With Carahsoft to Deliver Advanced Threat Prevention Solutions to the Public Sector
OPSWAT MetaDefender and MetaAccess Now Available on Carahsoft SEWP Contracts
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., September 13, 2018
OPSWAT®, a global provider of solutions that protect organizations from content-based threats, today announced a partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider™. Under the agreement, Carahsoft will manage OPSWAT’s public sector reseller networks and drive demand for the company’s industry-leading advanced threat prevention platform and solutions in federal, state and local government agencies. Carahsoft has also added OPSWAT’s solutions to its NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) Contracts.
“Carahsoft’s cyber security expertise, rich reseller ecosystem, and deep understanding of the unique needs of the government agencies they serve, make them a very important and valued partner,” said Frank Cohen, Vice President of Global Sales at OPSWAT. “Our MetaDefender Advanced Threat Prevention platform secures data workflows across high-security networks, making it a great fit for the Carahsoft portfolio. Carahsoft also has existing relationships with some of our key technology partners, so they’re able to offer their public sector customers and partners best-in-class integrated security solutions that include OPSWAT’s unique threat prevention technologies.”
OPSWAT MetaDefender Advanced Threat Prevention platform protects organizations from cyber security threats in content that originates from a variety of sources, such as web, email, portable media, and endpoints. Taking a “trust no file, trust no device©” approach that is especially critical within government organizations, MetaDefender prevents malicious file uploads, email-borne threats, and malware introduced via portable devices and media—such as USB drives—through the use of OPSWAT’s patented content disarm and reconstruction (CDR) and multi-scanning technologies. MetaDefender does not rely on detection; instead, it assumes all files are malicious, so it verifies and scans each file using up to 35+ anti-malware engines, then sanitizes and rebuilds the file ensuring full usability with safe content.
MetaAccess is OPSWAT’s solution for Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM). MetaAcccess provides a dynamic approach to secure cloud application access control. It prevents risky devices from accessing local networks and cloud applications, performing extensive security and compliance checks as well as remediation before allowing devices to access the organization’s data. MetaAccess enables organizations to enforce internal security and compliance standards.
Both MetaDefender and MetaAccess are available through Carahsoft. The solutions support critical infrastructure networks, on-premises and cloud environments.
“With the addition of OPSWAT to our offerings, we are now able to offer our extensive network of government customers and reseller partners solutions that prevent malicious file uploads; that secure file transfer to isolated and air-gapped networks; and that enable secure cloud access by any device,” said Michael Shrader, Vice President of Intelligence and Innovative Solutions at Carahsoft. “Their unique approach to securing the content that’s shared via files across and between organizations is something that resonates well especially in the public sector, where the protection of critical infrastructure and digital information is paramount.”
OPSWAT’s MetaDefender and MetaAccess solutions are available immediately via Carahsoft’s SEWP V contracts NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B. For more information, contact the OPSWAT Team at Carahsoft at 866-421-4683 or opswat@carahsoft.com.
