What does the acquisition of Impulse by OPSWAT mean to OESIS partners?

Last week, I wrote a blog post announcing the acquisition of Impulse, a Tampa, Florida, provider of Network Access Control (NAC) and Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP). The acquisition places OPSWAT as a leading vendor in the Zero Trust model.

Many of our OEM partners licensing the OESIS Framework SDK may wonder what this means to them and to the relationship we have built with them over the years. The short answer is that the acquisition makes us a stronger player and better positioned to deliver on the promises providing robust technologies to our OEM partners.

As a cross-platform endpoint SDK, OESIS Framework provides a modular software architecture suited for endpoint security solutions. MetaAccess, our cloud access solution, also relies on OESIS Framework to provide device control, visibility and policy compliance.

Furthermore, more than 100 million enterprise devices rely on the OESIS Framework SDK for compatibility and security effectiveness. The majority of these endpoints are managed by our OESIS OEM partners- and we plan to support them in securing these devices for years to come.

Lastly, over a decade ago OPSWAT introduced the industry’s only endpoint security certification program. Today, close to all industry players in the antimalware, NextGen antimalware and disk encryption technologies actively participate in this successful initiative. OPSWAT Access Control Certification Program offers a level of security assurance unsurpassed in the cybersecurity space. It claims over 2300 certified products from 150 security vendors- numbers that constantly grow. Both OESIS Framework SDK (and by association our OEM partners) as well as MetaAccess are direct beneficiaries of this program.

To our OEM partners: I express my gratitude to you for placing your trust in OPSWAT over the years. Moving forward, I can assure you of our continued commitment to your growth and success in the device security space.

OESIS and OPSWAT Access Control Certification Program benefit from a larger number of customers using OESIS as more leading vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Aruba increase their product quality and participation in our Access Control Certification program.
